"The Back 40"
"The Back 40" is a phrase that has long been associated with farming. It was the phrase used when someone wanted to be by themselves. All farms had their back 40 and many good crops, truck gardens and livestock came from the back 40. Having a long association with agriculture I decided to call our research and development dept. the back 40.
ENVIO-WEIGHTS
"The Back 40" development first began with the idea of an environmentally safe fishing tackle. The idea began with the realization that lead in all forms is dangerous. Many people were fighting the idea of lead in fishing tackle because of damage to loons and other water fowl. Fine and I agree, but lets take a look at the problems with the children.
I tried many formula's to form a bait and weight that was lead free, but finally after experimenting for several years, I discovered steel dust from the cutting and rolling industry. Basically a landfill material because of the physical characteristics making it difficult to handle. The name ENVIO-WEIGHTS came about accidentally. Every one who was doing something environmental was using the word 'environment' in some form. I decided to drop the "R" from ENVIRO to make it ENVIO.

RGM Adaptability
RGM Adaptability started life as
The Step above Fishing Systems. It began with an idea for a friend who lost an arm in Korea. A gimbaled belt, rod and harness and we later added the fishing seat. Then puff and sip controls and special adapter for a scooter to install our seat for fishing from a disabled dock using a scooter. We added rod holders for wheel chairs using the gimbaled rod and holder concept. This all fell within the concept of fishing, but we started getting request for gun mounts for wheel chairs and other hunting equipment. We also got request to do puff and sip controls for paint ball guns.When we got the request to convert a side by side ATV for hunting and fishing including hand controls for the unit, we had to do a name change. We chose RGM Adaptability to be compatible with RGM Outdoors, Inc. of which it is a division. This is when we set up "The Back 40" to do our research and development.

Coming Soon - A modification for a side by side ATV to convert it to an all purpose (With limitations) sports and agricultural mobility machine. Watch here for details.
It will have smooth tires for road travel, hand controls for operations, flashing warning lights for safety in inclement weather and a heated cab for the winter.
It will be able to be used for a wheel chair, can be used for all activities normally associated with the ATV style.
